Dr. H. Nicholas Bretl, DDS
EDUCATION:
Graduated Cum Laude in 1996 with double major in Mathematics and Chemistry from Loyola University-Chicago on an athletic scholarship (golf).
Graduated top ten in his class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2001 from Marquette University School of Dentistry.
After working four years in the Milwaukee Metro area, Dr. Bretl, who grew up in Antigo, longed for the Northwoods, and realized that 'home' was where he wanted to live and practice. After three years practicing in Edgar, he decided to open his own practice in Weston. However, he still stays involved in the community with the annual Dr. H. Nicholas Bretl Scholarship for Edgar graduating seniors who will be studying a health related career in college.
Dr. Bretl's philosophy of practice is patient based - no decision is made on any treatment without complete understanding and agreement by the patient.
Dr. Bretl now lives in Schofield with his wife Robyn. He enjoys golf, travel, skiing, and is a musician, playing drums in several bands in the area.

DR. BEN WASLESKE, DDS
EDUCATION:
Dr. Ben was born in Stevens Point, grew up in Kronenwetter, WI, and graduated from D.C. Everest High School in 2008. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2013 with a major in Biology and minors in both Chemistry and Applied Mathematics. He then graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in May 2017.
Dr. Ben's philosophy on dentistry is community orientated. He believes in creating a fun and family-friendly environment where treatment decisions are made as a team between the doctor and the patient.
Dr. Ben lives in Weston with his wife Kaylee who teaches students with Intellectual Disabilities at Riverside Elementary. In his free time, Dr. Ben enjoys playing music on his guitar, tennis, golf, hockey, travel, and spending time with family.

HEATHER SCHMIRLER
Office Manager
Heather grew up in the Wausau area. She has worked in the dental field since 2000 and has been with Dr. Bretl since the inception of this clinic in 2008. She has two sons and three step-daughters and with her husband, Rob, they enjoy boating, racing, and spending time with family and friends. Heather is especially proud of her sons, one who is serving our country in the army, and her other son who is finishing up his final year in high school and will be attending college.

Robyn Bretl
Assistant Office Manager
Robyn was born in Wausau, WI and graduated from Wausau West High School. Besides working as an Assistant Office Manager since 2015, she teaches yoga and meditation to adults and children at Greenheck Field House, D.C. Everest Adventure Care After School Program and Camp, Wausau School District, Boys and Girls Club, Wausau Area Yoga Association, and various events. Robyn enjoys traveling, playing piano and drums, listening to music, skiing, running, tennis, golf, hiking, painting, kayaking, reading, and spending time with her family, her two cats, and her husband Nick.

Kara Rode
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kara grew up in Northwestern Minnesota but graduated from D.C. Everest after moving here with her family. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau and has worked with Dr. Bretl since 2004. Kara and her husband, Bob, live in the Wausau area with their two children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially when it involves riding their horses or playing hockey. Kara is greatly involved with her children's activities.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Stephanie grew up in Weston, WI and graduated from D.C. Everest. She attended North Central Technical College and graduated in 2009 with a degree in dental hygiene. Stephanie has worked as a hygienist since 2010 and has been with Dr. Bretl since 2013. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, going to Packer games, and golfing with her fiancé.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Val graduated from Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School in 2004. She attended North Central Technical College in Wausau and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2008. During her free time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Val lives in Hatley with her husband Tim and two daughters Vanessa and Scarlett.

Sarah Stroik
Dental Assistant Manager
Sarah was born and raised here in Weston, graduating from D.C. Everest. She has worked in the dental field since 2002, working with Dr. Bretl from 2004-2008 before rejoining him in 2015. Sarah enjoys anything that has to do with being on or near the water including kayaking, fishing, ice fishing, swimming, and spending time at her family's cottage. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brad, and 2 sons Dakota and Teagan.
